In the delightful and delicious new film
Julie & Julia (starring Meryl Streep and Amy Adams)
writer/director Nora Ephron delivers a completely entertaining film
about life, love, food and two marriages that work! The film tells the
story of Julia Child's days in Paris learning to cook at Le
Cordon Bleu while simultaneously telling the story of Julie, a
secretary from Queens, who decides to cook her way through 500+ recipes
(in 365 days) from Julie Child's cookbook and blog about her
experience. The film is fun, funny, entertaining, and most importantly
it’s about love and passion. Both Julie and Julia have a
passion for food AND their husbands.  And, both husbands
love and support their wives. I can’t remember the last time
I saw a
film that shows what a healthy, happy, marriage looks like and in Julie
& Julia you get to witness two great marriages. One of my
favorite scenes in the films take place in Paris – Julia
& Paul Childs are hosting a Valentines dinner when Paul makes a
toast to his wife saying “Julia, you are the butter to my
bread, the breath to my life, I love you darling girl.”
Sigh……
Did I tell you this film is based on a true story? If you are looking
for inspiration, passion, and love, I highly recommend this film.

The German/Austria book tour was amazing. We did events in Darmstadt,
Augsburg, Salzburg, Austria and Munich and had a wonderful time meeting
women and men who are ready to manifest BIG love. It was fascinating to
discover that even though the spoken languages are different, the
language of love is the same everywhere. We humans all seek the same
things – love, understanding, companionship, support,
compassion and kindness. We then went on to Venice, Italy where we
spend a day at the Biennale art festival with our friends who live in
Asolo, Italy. Enjoyed 5 days of fabulous food & conversation
before heading to Amsterdam to meet with my Dutch publisher. Wow, what
a city….its so charming with canals everywhere and people
walking or biking, little outdoor cafes and street
musicians…we will definitely be going back. There are lots
